    Night Sights??

    Hi All,
I am ready to order something in the way of night sights and I am having a real hard time deciding what to get. I am looking at the Warren Tactical Sight and the Trijicon front sight maybe waiting until the Heinie Straight Eight sights are available. I like the Warren sight from the pics but am wondering if the 2 dot tritium sight picture may be better with the Heinie. I am so confused Confused . I wouold really appreciate your input! Please help.

    Thanks, Ron

On all my glocks I have meprolight. They are very high quality sights and work great. They are also the sights installed on all my department's issue firearms, as well as the sheriffs firearms. Also, they aren't too expensive.

I have TruGlo TFO's on all of my carry guns. They are outstanding in all light levels - even in twilight when conventional nite sights tend to be really hard to see.
We stock 'em with a green front, and yellow rears. With the color contrast, that front site picks up instantly. They are the fastest sights I've ever used.

    Suresights ?

Have you checked out the Suresight? I have been hoping to see some posts from those who have them. Maybe a user will reply here. They are supposedly easier to see for those of us that have impaired vision.

    Good luck in your search,

    Jim

You might also take a look at Novaks. I thought someone mentioned they were making them for S&W M&Ps.

    Mep's or Trij's...

    Both work well...

Check out a company called PT Sights. These are the folks who do the gutter sniping and night sights for NAA. They just replaced the sights on a used Guardian I bought and the sights were pretty dim. The new sights are very, very bright. They offer more colors than anybody I have seen. Take care and be safe!!

Trijicon, Meps, TFO sights are really good. The Heinies are great as well......So much out there, it may get you totally confused... It also comes down to what your wallet can spend..The "hot sights" seem to be the Tru Glo TFO with the fiber optics tubes.. might want to look at em. personally, I love em all, and they all work just as well as the others

The Tru Glo TFO sights do look very sweet. They are not available at this time for the M&P pistols though.
Here is what I went with for now. Thanks for the input!

    Ron

    Stock setup.

Warren Tactical Rear Sight and the Trijicon front sight.

My glocks and Kahrs have Meprolites.

I think they work great. My Thunder Ranch Revolver has a Half Moon Front Sight that I had a local Gunsmith drill a "divot" in the rear of the Front Sight. In this divot I placed "Luminous Paint".

This is like the old trick of "Painting The Front Sight" that all us "Old Timers" used to do back in the days before Night Sights. I think just about any of the Night Sights out there will work, and work well. I just use Meps because that's what I know and have used for almost twenty years.

It's hard to get an "Old Dog" to do new tricks.

You may have bought your sights already. Just a comment to others.

On larger guns, I had good success with ghost ring night sights. They're quick.

I just do not like the whole dot system. I know they work but I have not switched over yet. The new (new to me) G19 that I just got had night sights on it so I guess I will learn.

Another vote for the Tru-Glo TFOs...I custom ordered a set with green front/yellow rear dots and they work great. Will get a set for my next Glock, a Model 36.
