Hey all, I need some help determining a price.
I'm looking at a S&W Model 65, used of course. It's a Stainless K-Frame .357 Magnum with a 3" Heavy Barrel and Round Butt. It has some wear, and scratch marks on the ejector rod.
Since it's an older revolver it has no "Lock" on it.My local dealer is asking $350. I told him to set it aside for me and I'd be in on Monday. I was just wondering what they are going for in other parts of the country?

225.00 to 250.00 would be a fair price in the Northeast area where I live.. more on the 250.00 mark.. A 3" 65 is quite nice. did it have a box? extra grips? or were they the wood oversize "banana grips" that Smith sent with the gun? Would be nice if it had the 2 Pc smaller blue S&W box

Got me a 4" Mod 65 for $255 but that was a once in a liftime thing

OK, I'm in AZ. I went and put $100 down on it today. It's not a "Great" deal, but it's fair.
It comes with a plastic blue box, original grips and that's it. I'll send it back to S&W to "Bob" the hammer, render it DAO and have an "Action Job done. I'll probably have the ejector rod replaced too, due to the scratches on it. I'll also put a "modern" cylinder latch on it to make reloading with a Speedloader easier.
This one hasn't been shot much and I plan to change that.

from the sound of it, it looks like a good deal. plus the momentum on your end to do the mods that you want. looks like a good thing to me.
