225.00 to 250.00 would be a fair price in the Northeast area where I live.. more on the 250.00 mark.. A 3" 65 is quite nice. did it have a box? extra grips? or were they the wood oversize "banana grips" that Smith sent with the gun? Would be nice if it had the 2 Pc smaller blue S&W box

Got me a 4" Mod 65 for $255 but that was a once in a liftime thing

from the sound of it, it looks like a good deal. plus the momentum on your end to do the mods that you want. looks like a good thing to me.
