If you can only have ONE!

I love America! There are so many things we have to be thankful for here. Thanks to the men & women who serve to keep it great. For all the ways we have Freedom- this is a gun forum so that's my focus. The right to bear arms, but imagine that right was hindered and limited.

Absolutely hypothetical situation here- Suppose that this week you have to choose just one gun to keep as yours, and all others must go. Of the guns you have now- which one is your baby? Worse than Sophie's Choice huh?
Or would you trade them all for that special gun you always wanted but never got?

What gun will you keep- and why did you choose that one?

Either my G23 (my primary carry) or, if I were to pick a long gun, I'd keep my 1964 Winchester Model 70 in .308

My Glock 19, easy to shoot, easy to carry, easy to find 9mm ammo for.

If we were talking for carry only then my Glock 26. However if we are talking one handgun for everything I do then I would choose my .357 wheelgun. With a 4" barrel it will outshoot the glock hands down, more than capable of stopping a man bent on hurting me, harder to conceal but is possible, only 6 rounds but they are 6 very potent rounds, and it will still work as a back up for all of my hunting and other outdoor indevours. Maybe not perfect for anything but will work fine for everything.

My Beretta Cougar... if it comes down to that, I dont want to have any trouble finding ammo. 9mm is everywhere and it's plenty effective...

One and one only would be a 870... it can do everything. HD, small game, large game, flying game and reach out with some power.

If we were talking about pistols... G19.

    G23

Unless it had to be one to be used by the entire family, then it would be a G19.

If it comes right down to it Everybody and their Brother will be wanting to hoard 9mm ammo and that will leave all the .45 acp ammunition for the rest of us.

My choice would be either the Colt Combat Commander or the SIG P220...If they were both sitting "side by side" on the table at the exact instant the Spaghetti Hit The Fan - I would grab either/or and head for the Pennsylvania hills
...OK Ok - I'll play this game the right way...I would quickly snatch up the Colt's Combat Commander and never look back.
