    Bersa ?

I just bought a Bersa Thunder because I like the PPK and what a great price! I took it out of the box and noticed when you first start the trigger it has a small click in it. I tried it DA and SA and the click was there in both. After the click the trigger is nice and smooth. I cleaned off all of the excess oil and dry fired a couple of times and the click is still there. Is this something that should go away when it gets broken in or is this common to this gun? Anyone else have this problem?

    Welcome.

My wife has mine now and it is hard to think back but what you mention could well be ''normal''. I know the Bersa trigger is not exactly butter smooth but I got used to mine and had no issues.

I just bought a Thunder CC .380 myself yesterday. I noticed this same thing in the trigger of mine. A little strange but I ran 100 rounds through mine today and had no malfunctions, other than twice the slide failed to stay locked back after the last round was fired from the magazine.

I'd say it's normal for that gun for the trigger to do that.

The Bersa seems like a good value for the price but the finishing work leaves alot to be desired. The nickel plating on mine is discolored, and there were a couple of burrs from the machining process that I had to knock down with a file. Same thing on the plastic grips.

I have the Thunder 380 duotone, it shoots great more accurate than I figured it would be and it fits the purpose I wanted it for, being for CC when I'm dressed up I think the click your refering to has to do with the decocker part of the trigger group IIRC mine did it for about the first 200 rounds thru it until it all smoothed out, I can't check it because my oldest son borrowed it for carry at a wedding he went to 4 months ago and I still can't get it back from him. LOL Note: in Mi. its legal for CPL holders to have any legaly ( registered ) pistol whether they own it or not.

You might want to visit Bersatalk.com

There's a warranty service provider there that can answer questions about function. I'm not sure what you mean by click. Is it "taking up the play" in the trigger, or does it feel like a burr or snag on the action??

It isn't taking up the play, it feels like a snag on the action. I am going to take it to the range tomorrow and see if breaking it in might cure the problem.
