Anyone use the beretta px4 storm?

It looks sleek ergonomic and ambidextrous. But it only comes in .40 and 9mm. Might be a good Carry option for someone interested in a .40 option? I'd like to get some opinions on this.

Great pistol. I have the 9mm version. It's probably about 5000 rounds with no failures. The rotating barrel system does reduce recoil noticeably. Probably a really great feature in .40 because of the snappier recoil.

Rather accurate, easy to take down and clean and very reliable with high capacity. Cons would probably be that it's full size so it can be a bear to conceal sometimes. They're still pretty new, so finding a good carry rig can be difficult.

There is talk of a .45 one coming out at some point, so if that's what you really want you might want to wait. Great pistol though that didn't break the bank.

Thanks, I know someone (female smaller stature) that will need to carry for her job. I thought it would be perfect because the added benefit of reduced recoil. She already wants a .40 because of harsh recoil fears.

Now I'm kicking myself for getting a Taurus because of lack of support. Hope they get a .45 out soon to see the reviews. So my basic recommendation are for her to get something that is comfortable for "her" to carry period.

You might want to have her try both the .40 and .45. Personally, I find the .40 to have more harsh recoil because it's snappier. That's me though, everyone is different.

My finace carries the Px4 and loves shooting it, so that shouldn't be an issue, but it's an individual thing, so make sure she gets something she will carry. A gun at home doesn't do anyone any good.

Its a great gun. A sub-compact model is also scheduled to come out this summer.

I really liked my PX4. Wish I hadnt sold it. It was extremely comfortable to shoot and felt great in my hand. I found the medium grip insert that came on the gun worked great for me.

    I plan to get another.

I don't own one, but I've fired one. It's a solid design. I'm waiting for the .45 to hit the market. Shame there won't be a 357 SIG version.

Looks like Sub's and .45's are going to be hitting the market very soon.

    Our family has 2.
Wife got hers for Christmas this past yr & as soon as my Mom shot it she said, "I want one too." What Mom wants she gets. Specially if it is a gun.
Both my ladies love them for the range & home defense. They shoot the 9mm. It is a little large for them to comfortably carry. Wife is small & Mom is 76.

I am a died in the wool 1911 carry due to age. Just too old to go to a plastic gun. I have shot the Storm & assure anyone that it is a quality arm & I consider it totally reliable.
    Carry 24-7 or guess right.
