Since no one has said it yet I will, "Do not Shoot Lead Through That Barrel!" The polygonal rifling is a great system and often leads to better accuracy and muzzle velocity but it does not play well with lead. Stick with fmj or jhp and you will be fine.

What did you do with the old barrels? I don't shoot lead so I'll take 'em.

kkm and efk makes good after market barrel for the glocks. they are a must if you want to shoot cast lead. if it is a .40 cal then you will need a after market barrel to shoot reloads,, cast and/or fmj bullets. the glock .40 barrels do not give full cast support. kkm and efk .40 cal glock barrels give full cast support.

A little more care has to be taken but if your shooting FMJ reloads, you do NOT need to have an aftermarket barrel. If that was the case, I know whole bunch of people that would have KB'd their Glock .40s many times over, me included. Fact is, I don't know anyone personally that has.

I can't even pronounce "polygonal"!
