I have been thinking lately about upgrades to a couple of my HGs in particular my CZ 75 compact. I really love the stainless model, but I don't think they make it in the compact yet. Are there any upgrades that would be beneficial? I.e. stainless guide rod, wolf springs, etc. I already plan on night sights, but is there anything else that would make it an even better gun. I haven't done anything to it out of the box and I have had it for five years.
While i dont know a smith that has a line on the CZ line , you wont go wrong with a reliability job ( basicly polish up and true up a bit the action ) or a " service grade " trigger job . Just dont get a comp job put on a trigger that could drop you below 4lbs or so single action or sacrifice reliability . Replacing springs can be ok on some guns , but realize if and when you do you may cost reliability , especially if you pick and choose springs and dont install a full pack . Were it my gun i would put a lot of rounds and dry fire thro it to see how it would " seat the parts " then go from there . Oh and yes the nightsights are a given as far as being usefull .
