Which is the best DAO pistol you've tried considering the trigger pull weight and length? I mean "really" DAO pistols, not safe action, quick action, LEM or USA triggers.

True DAO? I'd go with my first choice of Para LDA (light double action) or the Sig SAS as the only two I think are ture DAOs and real sweet triggers. However, the LDA is better IMO than the Sig's. I've even shoot a custom Para that had a LDA trigger customized down to 2.5#s and no take up for IPSC shooting.

Sigs are pretty good, as are Kahrs... S&W revolvers have had the best 'stock' DA pulls I've experienced, on average, but they've never really been able to translate that to a semi-auto that I've found. The M9 DA pull, while loooooong, can be surprisingly smooth.
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.
Older Taurus Pt-145 melinieum . in auto , S&W L framed 586 in revolver . Personaly i settled on the Kahr " safe action " since double strike IMHO only slows down the malf drill ( tap rack bang )

The sweetest DA I've ever felt on a semi-auto pistol that was not "fixed" was on a Para.

When it comes to a good double action pull, I also have to recommend the Sig DAK system or Kahr's trigger system.
For an autoloading DAO I'd have to say the Kahr Trigger wins hands down.
For me though, nothing beats a S&W Revolver in DAO. In fact, I have two on me right now.

Seems like plenty of nice ones around. I'll also, using ''pistol'' loosely - and agree re a good DA revo trigger such as Smith. My M28 which has admittedly had some work done, is excellent.
My best however and it's not one many folks have tried - is the Rohrbaugh R9 - 7# pull and silky, butter smooth.

I'd go with the Para LDA, even though I would'nt have one if it was given to me. The Kahr is really good too.

Whatever you do, do NOT get a Walther P990 (DAO). You can feel the first reset point (I guess for the DA/SA) and then further on you feal the 2nd reset point (at this point it is ok to re-squeeze the trigger).
There is no fix for this. And you may find yourself short-stroking the pistol big time.
LDA, the only DAO triggers that I have seen/fired that were better were my Dad's Colt Python which had ALOT of work done, and a friends Smith .357 that also had been worked on.
You know they say that you should be suprised when the gun fires?
I about messed my drawers the first time shooting an LDA, I WAS SHOCKED!
Another for the Para LDA.
I have both the Para Carry 9 and Kahr PM9 and the Para wins hands down!
