I have wanted a CZ52 for a long time, there's something about the cartridge that intrigues me. Maybe 'cause it's so fast, like 1400-1500fps! Anyway, I noticed that the CZ82 has been added to the C&R list and most of the suppliers out there have them on sale right now. Well, that did it for me. I ordered a hand-picked 52 and 82 today!
Now comes the question. Have any of you actually carried the CZ82 for CCW? The 52 is too big, but the 82 just might work.
Any comments on either gun? For those who have either, what ammo do you find shoots the best for each?
Can't wait! Probably Saturday or Monday, the delivery truck is gonna have a package for me, and......
I'm gonna feel like this >
The surplus 82s are getting alot of attention nowdays.
Like the CZ83, it is an excellent pistol for the Makarov cartridge.
I carried a satin nickel '83 for a while.
An older model .380 served as my Summer gun for a few years.
9mm MAK ammo was once made by SPEER, but quickly became
hard to find. Same with other MAK stuff in my area.
Unlike other pistols for the MAK and most in .380.
The CZs have excellent triggers and highly visible sights
that you can switch out for Nites.
After getting my RAMI in 9mm. The 83 MAK was soon replaced. Cheaper and more abundant ammo selection..not much heavier than a CZ83.
Basically, I wouldn't touch any Makarov pistol, but should you have a
good source for ammo..a CZ82 (or 83) in 9mm MAK will be nothing but Sweet!
