Whether compact or full size, not just limited to the 1911 platform.
Not including Grips or Sights, of course .
~ Pocket Carry Handguns such as the incredible Seecamp LWS32 and LWS380 should not be considered.

Get a Dan Wesson Bobtail Commander...all S/S, no MIM...very affordable. You can find it on line for a bit over $800 (buds). It is my EDC and I love it......
FYI I carry it in a Tucker Texas Heritage IWB holster with a Bullhide belt....very concealable. I AM a big guy (6'3" 240lbs) so I can hide a pretty large handgun....

My Kimber Pro-Carry HDII is all stainless, with the exception of the springs.

I highly recommend the combat master. The short grip makes it very easy to conceal. Functions flawlessly with 8rd mags too.
I think Kahr makes some all stainless guns.
If rust is your concern there are several autos with a stainless slide and aluminum frame, such as the R9

Sig GSR 1911's are all stainless, no MIM. The prices range around $700 to $1200

Not mine......I replaced them...........everything that I could replace has been.....hammer, sear, mainspring housing, disconnector, grip safety, trigger & added an ambi-safety. The only original parts are the frame, slide & barrel........even changed the sights.

My reasons weren't really anything to do with MIM parts.......I just didn't like some of the original features (or lack of...). The original trigger pull wasn't great, so I replaced hammer, sear, disconnector...etc. I am left handed & it didn't come with an ambi-safety. I also wanted a magwell, so there went the mainspring housing. I had an issue with the grip safety, originally it did not have a 'memory bump', so I added one. Changed the grips, added night sites & forward slide serrations.
So I guess you're probably right.....it isn't really a Kimber anymore.

It's an Ed Brown....actually the SECOND one. I had one on it before that I think was a King. IT BROKE....the tab inside that connects the left side to the right broke off. So I replaced it with a Brown.....(sorry just re-read your post, this was the ambi-safety that broke) In the picture you can see the ambi-safety has not been bead blasted since it was replaced.
I had a flat Ed Brown grip safety that I had a piece of stainless barrel added to it & welded smooth. I posted a picture of it here somewhere.
