The key to the PF9 is to find one of the new versions with the kinks worked out. Alot of the early ones were troubled. The new 'e' series are the ones to get. I only have 175rds through mine (150 American Eagle, 25 Silvertips). All functioned perfectly. Although not a range gun, it is a perfect carry gun.

I carry a M&P 9mmC in the Pocket when I'm not carrying anything else in a holster. Works fine for me. I also put the smallest backstrap on the gun when its in the pocket.

Looks like we have another contender for hideout gun of the year. Especially if it has a good price point.

My friend, who is a pat rogers, gabe suarez and gunsite guy, traded his glock 26 for a M+P compact, and got rid of it inside of a week. Said it had multiple issues with the trigger, magazines, and Failures to go into battery with numerous different 9mm loadings.

I'd stay away from that one till they get the bugs work out.

I still have to go back to the best pocket gun I ever had, and still kick my own butt for letting go of...the Kahr P-9. I could actually hit things with it, it was super flat and easy to carry, and was quite reliable. I put it in an IWB holster and could easily forget I had it on.

I would love to have another....but I gotta get my AK before I can get the pocket pistol obsession taken care of.

My Kel Tec P-11 never gave me a bit of trouble. A lot of people complained about having to send them back to fla for work, but mine never jammed or malfunctioned in any way with all kinds of different ammo. And I bought it used for $150..that was the best part!
