At $350 it doesn't matter what you do with the gun.

Buy the bloody thing and stick it in the safe and carry the 23 is what I would do. The 27 would make a good "secondary" if your 23 ever went down. What I mean by that is, if you ever had to send it to a gunsmith or something for repairs.

The 27 will use your 23 Magazines and functions the same as the 23.Therefore, it is, aside from the smaller grip panel, the same as the 23 for all practical purposes.

Again, buy the bloody thing. That's a great price.

I'll second or third (or fourth) what everyone else has said. At $350 if you have the money I would suggest buying that thing even if you just resell it.

This thread is interesting to me as I am considering buying a 27 next month to go with my 23 and 22. I find that as the weather warms up I am carrying the SP 101 more since it's a bit smaller (though probably thicker) than the 23. The 27 should make a nice carry this time of year.

I like the 27, because if all else fails, I can ankle carry with my Galco Ankle Glove. Works pretty well... The 23's grip is just too long for the ankle.

Jamie sold me some Woolrich Elite Discrete pants and they would easily allow pocket carry of a 27. With a good holster and privacy panel of course.

I've carried my M&P40C that way and my buddy's G26 as well.

As to the difference between the 23 and 27, I'd jump on the deal and figure it out later. you can still sell the 27 and have some room to spare :-)

My buddy tried a G32 ankel carry, It lasted about a day, You can carry a G26/7 in your pocket no problem with a Desantis Nemesis.

QUOTE=Glock 'em down;361599]With the Glock 27, you can go pocket carry (with a pocket holster) or ankle carry. You could go ankle carry with a Glock 23, but not likely. However...I've seen a guy hide a full size Beretta 92 down there!

The Glock 27 may "carry" better, but the Glock 23 "shoots" better![/QUOTE]

Argh! So enough of you told me to just buy it (I usually dont take much convincing anyway) I thought- Heck it is a great price. So I called the guy.

He restated the reasons he didnt like it, and said he dropped it at the gun shop after work yesterday to have a grip reduction. He felt bad (because he had made the offer to me)and said if he still didnt like it- he'd sell it.

I guess you've got to jump on those when they come along.

I agree. Pretty much a wash, unless youi are slight of build. The 23 does have a longer barrel and sight radius. I have had both. I am
6'3" 275, so I can pretty much hide any gun with the right gear. A good holster and strudy belt can make a world of difference.
