Upgrade to 45ACP you will like it much more recovery time is faster for me as the recoil is more of a slower pulse to me then the others.

Not that I have one or anything, but a 1911 in anything but .45 just doesn't seem right.

Well, that's all you needed to say right there... you know I'm a sucker for boys in cammies.

    hmmmmm....

I wish there was a Rapor in our rental case to try. I really like the look and feel of that .45. Maybe the checkering on the front of the grip isn't that great. I think I'd have to try it, but other than that I'm liking it a lot, except for it's price-tag.

    What, no discount?

    How about one of these?

I fondled one the other day, and I've got to say that it felt phenomenal... except for the fact that you can't have an ambi safety and CT lasergrips together. It sucks being a lefty sometimes.

Oh, I don't care about the CT lasergrips. Never liked them much, and I don't need an ambi safety.. I like that thought.. very nice.

No discount until I've been there for 90 days. and then how much of a discount depends entirely on the manufacturer we are buying.

    Lima,

It is a purdy gun though. I'm like you, ditch the laser grips but get a set of grips with that same cammo pattern. I really like the finish on the weapon.

Same here, and a 3" barrel in .45acp is not bad to shot at all, feels like more of a push than the flip of a .40S&W. Try out a WartHawg.

Well, I'm going shopping this weekend for a 3" 1911 in .45.. we are certainly going to be looking for everything from Springfield to Kimber to Para to Colt and every other 1911 manufacturer out there that makes a 3" model. I still want to try the 9mm EMP and see how I like it, but I'm thinking the .45 is going to win this battle.

I'm REALLY looking for models WITHOUT the firing pin block.
