Skyy 9mm ... Place your bets

We've been talking about this on and off for a while here. Are they junk or just a new product with problems to work out. Now i'm not employed by Skyy in any way. So with all the talk I ponied up 275.00 out the door to my favorite local gun dealer. The gun feels good in my hand. Fit and finish also are better than some higher priced guns. I'm at work now so no pics. I'll take some tonight. I plan on taking this thing out this weekend and putting 350-500 rounds through it. Stay tuned and anyone that has one please chime in.

I thought about purchasing one a year ago but was scared off by all the negative press. I carry a Taurus pt145 and a kel-tec p3at so I really don't buy high-end guns :P but couldn't quite bring myself to try out the Skyy. (Oh and a bhp and s&w 442, so I'm not a complete bottom-feeder. )

I've also been very curious about them. I've done a little research about them and it had gotten me in the mood for one. I've just never been able to hold one yet and check it out further. Keep us posted on how it does.

I have two. Keep them clean. Might be ammo finicky. Have fun.

I agree with R&G. I've also got two and think they are excellent guns for the price and the purpose for which they were designed. Make sure you read the owners manual, follow the instructions/cautions and you shouldn't have any problems.

I personaly will not buy a skyy gun , its not even a matter of if the gun works or not. The pistols are a straight rip of Kel Tec designs so they should run fine . Howeaver the BS pulled by sky company management online insured that i will never support thier product . not even used will i accept that brand pistol . I dont care how good they are , or how cheap they make an " acceptable " pistol , they are not a brand i will do business with .

Sammy - someone can explain better than I maybe but - IIRC the boss man posted on a forum as a 'Mr anyone/anonymous' to bolster the product. He came clean later but methinks left some damage behind.

Thanks to both of you. I've never heard of it, so I was curious. I'll have to go find out all the details.
