Talking SIG 220 SAO, soon, very soon

I have in my hand the final payment of $310 that I owe on my SIG 220 SAO with Siglite night sights that is currently in Montana.

I should have in hand by the end of the month, range report to follow.

And no, the price on the tag is not what I paid, when all is said and done after shipping and FFL transfer the final cost is $760.

The sad thing is that I all ready have 5 Novak mags, a Milt Sparks VMII, and some other holsters for it. Now I just need the gun.

If it wasn't for that Ithaca I picked up I would have had this two months ago. I guess all good things do come to those who wait.

    Patience will be rewarded

I like my 220 a lot and I like that 2 tone. Will that be EDC someday John? Mighty fine option anyways.

I plan on it, my Springer's blued finish is too nice for EDC, and my Kimber is in the shop along with Lima's, I've been reduced to carrying the Springer or my Smith 642.

My Springer is by no means a safe queen, but it's getting harder and harder to find a good blued finish these days.

I like the 220 due to it's longer sight radius, and it's a little heavier than a LW Commander which IMHO is just a little too light, with the SAO I'll be able to use the same manual of arms minus the grip safety, so I won't have to drasticly change what I'm used to.

Man that is sooooo sweet! I wan't one just like it. I carry an older 220 but I love SAO. Don't they have a 3.9 inch barreled SAO available now as well?

And for all those that are going to be asking "When is Lima getting a new gun?" I am happy to say that I found her a Kimber Ultra CDP Series I .45 today and it is now on lay-away.

All I can say is, droool, slurp, slurp!

Nice, I am eager to hear how you like the SAO. I tried to say that with a straight face, just like I didn't already know how you are gonna like it.

    Talking West German 220 Bi-tone

I have a WG 220 I carried for years with the two tone like yours in the pic. I only complaint is that after all the years of carrying and untold thousands of rounds fired, My slide is darkened. Have tried to polish it off with no luck. I still love it and is still my EDC. Congrats on your new weapon. Dogs are not mans best friend, a Sig 220 is.

Yeah, it was funny I didn't think I'd find a CDP series 1 anywhere, I stopped in at a not so local shop that is well known for both great prices and a fabulous used selection and there it was tagged at $800.

The seller bumped it down to $740 cash price with tax and back ground check check included.

And this is a beauty, no "idiot mark" and just the slightest of wear near the muzzle end of the slide and a small bit of wear on the top of the rear sight which will probably be replaced with some straight eights anyway.
