    STI?

Well, I was at the armory today to get my CZ75 refinished in titanium grey when I saw a neat little gun in the display. It is an STI LS or LR40 I can't remember. Anyway it is a 1911 style shrunk to a very small size. I asked and it is available in 9mm. I carry a Kahr CW9 in the summertime and honestly have been looking to trade it in. Does anyone have any experience with this gun? How does it compare to the Kahr? I like the Kahr, but I am having a hard time finding ammo that it will feed reliably.

I dont know anything about this model, but STI makes a great 1911. I cant imagine that they would put out a POS.

I'm with Sixto - I have lusted after an STI 1911 and doubt they'd put out anything that's at all bad.

Bowden- LOL, not only do I have experience with that type of gun- I bought THAT very gun. The day I bought it last September- I took it out on the range and shot it and had 2-3 FTE per magazine. I took it back to the counter and they turned it over to the smiths.

I called STI in Texas and spoke with their tech guy. He said I could send it to them to fix (no charge) but they do have alot of trouble with the LS40. He said the round is really hot and he spends more time on repairing those than any others. I spoke to the manager- Tony and he refunded my money, they were cool about it.

STI has made modifications and improvements to the LS and I would love to have one of the 9mm. Their tech told me those are flawless now.

I would leave that particular gun under the glass.

That STI model is pretty sweet. I'd get it.

I've looked at the little STIs just a bit. I remember one thing I didn't like is that didn't lock back on an empty mag. Didn't like that, but I have two full-sized STIs...well, one is a Spartan, which is a semi-STI!
