Well, as promised here are a few pictures of my new XD that I picked up Monday. I haven't had a chance to put any rounds through it yet, but I am planning a trip to the range on Wednesday. Besides taking a little road trip to pick up the XD I also placed an order with K&D for a couple of holsters and a belt, and I filed the paperwork for my CHL with the Sheriff's Office today. I guess you could say Monday was a productive (and expensive) day for me.
Very cool... I bet wednesday can't come fast enough so you can "burp" that little bugger!
I am "Jones'n" for my OD XD to arrive... Still have about 40-45 day wait from factory! Arrrrggghh!
Let us know how it shoots!

Now that your done with the 1911, you can send it to me.

Congrats on the XDsc! Based on my experience, it will definitely serve you well.
I love my XDSC
It would not be the same gun however without the pearce pinkie extension.
I carry the 10 mag/with extension and it fits my large hands
like a full size gun.
Even the wife prefers the mag w/extension.
I've shoot 3,500 rounds thru mine with zero problems
congrats...I also have a few 1911's and two XD's. the XD's are quickly becoming my preferred firearms....they are amazing. Have fun on weds, please let us know how it went...flawless I am guessing.
--people ask why I carry, and I show them this picture. I think it says it all.--

SWEET GUN, i've made up my mind the xd is next. How do you like the holster that's part of the package deal?
A .38 in the hand is better than two .45 at home
It's not bad for a freebie. I've got a K&D Maverick Defender on order (for the XD and 1911), but it will be a little while before that comes so it will work for now.
on the arrival of your new 'family member'...

Thanks for the pics. Lets us know how it does at the range.
The XD is a 40, right? Is the 1911 a 45? You decided to downsize the caliber?

I hope you don't mind if I chime in about the included holster. In my opinion it isn't a very good holster. It swivels a lot and allows too much movement on even the stiffest belt.
