    Talking My New XD

Well, as promised here are a few pictures of my new XD that I picked up Monday. I haven't had a chance to put any rounds through it yet, but I am planning a trip to the range on Wednesday. Besides taking a little road trip to pick up the XD I also placed an order with K&D for a couple of holsters and a belt, and I filed the paperwork for my CHL with the Sheriff's Office today. I guess you could say Monday was a productive (and expensive) day for me.

Congrats on the gun purchase and CHL! I was just reading an article today that said Minnesota has 48,000 CHL holders....I don't know the population of the state, but that sounds like a decent percentage...

I am "Jones'n" for my OD XD to arrive... Still have about 40-45 day wait from factory! Arrrrggghh!

Let us know how it shoots!

    I love my XDSC

It would not be the same gun however without the pearce pinkie extension.

I carry the 10 mag/with extension and it fits my large hands
    like a full size gun.
Even the wife prefers the mag w/extension.

    Enjoy
I've shoot 3,500 rounds thru mine with zero problems

Nice try, but I think I'll hold on to it.

I've got a couple of the extensions on order, as well as a set of Trijicon sights.

A .38 in the hand is better than two .45 at home

It's not bad for a freebie. I've got a K&D Maverick Defender on order (for the XD and 1911), but it will be a little while before that comes so it will work for now.

The XD is a 40, right? Is the 1911 a 45? You decided to downsize the caliber?

I hope you don't mind if I chime in about the included holster. In my opinion it isn't a very good holster. It swivels a lot and allows too much movement on even the stiffest belt.
