I have a Colt Officers and a Para P-12 both all steel frames.
I have always wanted to go with a 4" or 4.25" length with either one of those. I believe you folks are refering to them as CCO's?
Is it a major expense to have them converted or should I just go out and buy one built from the ground up?
Also any comments on how they are balanced? Front heavy?
I would rather not pay $500 or $800 for just having new slide and barrels if I can avoid it.
"The gun is the great equalizer... For it is the gun, that allows the meek to repel the monsters; Whom are bigger, stronger and without conscience, prey on those who without one, would surely perish."
I believe you would be ahead in the long run to just buy a different pistol, unless you want something additional done to them. I have a P12, and even though it only has a 3 1/2 inch barrel, it is an accurate little pistol, and being alloy it carries very well. The favorite pistol I own is a Commander, But I don't carry it. Too pretty.:
