    Opinions on Taurus 45/410

I was wondering what you guys think of the Taurus 45/410 revolver. I have a Taurus 357 in titanium and I have no problem with using 357s in this gun. Do you guys think this is a practical firearm?

I'm not sure what you mean by "practical". For concealed daily carry? It wouldn't be my first choice. I do think it would be entirely suitable as a trail or hiking gun, tho. I looked at one the other day, it appeared to be a very high quality gun.

There's a full review of the Taurus 4410 in the June 07 issue of the NRA's Shooting Illustrated magazine.

I own one. I use it as a snake weapon when I am camping. Fun to shoot. Wouldn't carry it daily, it is just too bulky.

For the bulk of it you can do better for ccw . With that being said , if you live in snake country it could have some practical application , and does have some " Wow " factor for friendly wagers on thrown targets when plinking , if you set the bet up right and dont show them the gun first LOL .

It's a cool firearm, as others have said good for snakes or camping, could possibly make a good glove box or nightstand pistol, but not really made for ccw.

You must have one HUGE glove box to fit something like that in there.

Well, I do on my truck, and I was referring to the short barrelled model, it would be able to fit in there, the 6 inch barrel, would not.

Theres only one holster that I'd even think of carrying a Judge (45/410) in. Its a Hoffners Miurage ITP revolver holster. The only part of the weapon thats actually in the pants is the barrel. Have considered getting one myself, but for snakes and two leg critters out in the woods when hunting and camping. Its just not on the top of my to get list, but its on it.

Oh the link to the Hoffners is http://www.hoffners.com/inn07.jpg.

Also, HKS makes a speedloader for the Judge also, just incase you decide to do it.

The Taurus 45 long colt /410 is a neat idea and gives the user more options. It sure would make a great snake gun.
