This is a discussion on Ed Brown Special Forces; Gen III within the Defensive Carry Guns forums, part of the Defensive Carry Discussions category; Here is my carry pistola. Commander plain slide. Wonderful balance and accuracy....
Nice looking 1911. Whats with that floorplate on the magazine?
My next 1911 is likely to be one like that.
Did you get it from Allan Yoast?
He's a great guy.
Please be sure to give us a range report!
was the culprit that sold me the Brown. He ordered 4 non-catalog SF guns and I nabbed one from him. Have to look up the price as I am trying to forget.......
PS: that is a "brown" magazine and his floorplate.
That gun would make me very, very, happy indeed. I have no Commander, I need a Commander length...darn all these food, clothing, and shelter expenses.
What Would Gumby Do?
Someday...I will get one of these also....just a damn sexy gun and the one I think is the nicest .45 out there

Training means learning the rules. Experience means learning the exceptions.
For carry, I'd personally remove the bump pad....
Very nice piece, care to post a range report? Thanks for posting....
"Ray Nagin is a colossal disappointment" - NRA/ILA Executive Director Chris W. Cox.
"...be water, my friend."
While the bump pad is a little thick add a mag well and carry it (well that one is a little thick but i have carried that style) I do its all in the cant of the holster and your method of dress to hide it
Very nice on the coolness meter. Specifically, what sights are driving that thing?
"The gun is the great equalizer... For it is the gun, that allows the meek to repel the monsters; Whom are bigger, stronger and without conscience, prey on those who without one, would surely perish."
Novak with Trijicon three dot night sights.
