    Extra Mags. for my P3at

I finally picked up my P3at on Sat. and went ahead and purchased a 2nd mag from my local shop. The guy at my local shop advised me that off brand mags. for this Kel-tec were not made. So, I picked up a spare Kel-tec mag from him. The extra mag and the one which came with the p3at are identical to look at but the one I purchased separately doesn't lock in very well. I fired about 75 rounds that same day and only had feeding problems with the extra mag. Has anyone else had problems such as this. I was just looking at the gun and when I insert the extra mag. the mag. release button doesn't pop out. However, the mag seems to be secure in the gun. Any thoughts other than I've just simply purchased a bad mag?

Sheeewwwwt...i'd take it back and order another...elsewhere maybe.

I love mine, but as you, only have one magazine.

Of course, if I'm shooting at BG with my KelTec .380, that means I have exhausted my Witness with 16...it's extra mag with 15, and then also my PM 40 with six...whew...I'm getting a cramp and tremors by then.

That's what I was thinking, just take it back. I didn't know if this was a common problem or if I just grabbed the lucky mag (read broken) off of the rack. Those things aren't cheap, $20.00.

I got mine direct from KelTec. Never had a problem.

If it says KelTec on it and it doesn't work, call them at 1-800-515-9983, they will make it right!!

I've read many good things about Kel-tec's customer service. If my local shop doesn't want to take it back, I'll give the company a call. Thanks for the number.

I bought my spare from a guy on gunbroker.com. I've never had any trouble with it. I'd trade that sucker in.

Bought one spare when I bought the gun along with a +1 extension. Then bought another from KelTec, it's just about as cheap from them as anybody and then picked up (2) pinky extensions for them off Ebay. They are pretty slick but do not add any capacity. They look just like the Pearce extensions made for Glocks and are a heck of a lot cheaper than the KelTec extensions.

I got 2 standard mags with my P32 when I bought it about 2 years ago. On my last range session, the one I had been using as backup refused to feed the last rnd in the mag every time. Either the spring has gone bad or it's gunked up in some non-obvious way.

On the other hand, the no-name 10 round mag I had picked up on a whim at a recent gun show fed all 10 rounds completely flawlessly every time.

    Go figure.

So, you were able to find an off brand mag for your kel-tec p32? Do you know of any off brand for the p3at?

I'm sure that KT will take care of it, but if you patronize the same gun shop...I would think that they would make it right...
