My Main CCW Piece (With picture)

I thought I'd share my main CCW piece.
Its a 4" barrel on an officers grip. I wear it everyday in a Milt Sparks Watch 6 IWB holster.

It's nice. You've NEVER EVER had an FTF or FTE? No "porposing" of the ammo in the mags causing a "double feed?" None of that? 100% reliable since the day of purchase? Not a lot of sub "Commander" size 1911s can lay claim to that....

Those are some interesting grips, where did you get them?

    Are they G10 or Micarta?

    Good choice

The 4 inch Kimbers make great carry guns, and are generally quite accurate and reliable. You have made a good choice.

nope....the only fail to feed was due to the slide stop being hit upward from the rounds of the magazine hitting them. Filed that part back and she has NEVER slowed down 1 time since then...
    Running hollow points too :)
Like I said, its a pre series II KImber...they made them better back then from what I can tell.

Nice gun and great looking grips too. They really make the gun look even better.

Really? Why? Kimber's right next door in NY. It has an external safety and the series II has a firing pin block. Can you own Kahrs in MA? After all, they're in Worcester...
