If it is not in the US Constitution then the Federal Government should not be doing it.

Yep - DA if from hammer down then SA after first shot.

    So DA/SA.

It can be either DA or SA for the first shot, the follow up shots are all SA.

    The correct term is DA/SA.

My cousin has had one a year or more and he likes it, and a friend got one a couple of weeks ago and loves it.

I've got 2 for my wife... one as her bed side gun, and one for her office drawer.

She hasn't taken the steps toward her concealed permit yet, but I'm working on it.
    M&P Shield 9mm,
    STI Escort,
    and others....

I carry one every day. Mine does well. You can check some of my old posts...they can be spotty. It's so much easier for deep concealment. That is until I pick up my USPC. Then it will get the most time.

They are easy shooting guns, too. Even the DA trigger pull isn't bad, and its a very ergonomic gun, for a compact quasi-pocket pistol.

Unfortunately i got a lemon with my Bersa, but I have heard plenty of good things from other Bersa Gun owners. It's just one of those things.

What types of issues are you having with yours, COWBOYF550? Have you asked anyone over at the Bersa Talk forum? I have one as well that I bought for my wife and would be interested in hearing what types of issues you're having..

    Thanks!

Thanks Chris, I get a chance I'll send my friend that way. He's my son's room mate and picked up one several weeks ago.

    Mojoski;

The problems I encountered with my Bersa were a constant thing. The slide release wouldn't stay in place after the first magainze was shot. After shooting 2-3 magazines the grips were barely hanging on by the screw, an easy enough problem to fix but annoying as heck, then after a repeated shooting session the safety wouldn't engage. It took a ridiculous amount of strength to work it, thus not allowing the hammer to come down fully to strike the firing pin. I couldn't trust my life with it.

I've talked to a couple of people at the range and they've never had any problems. I just locked the Bersa in the Gun safe and I'm now carrying a RIA 1911 Govt.

Thanks for the info, COWBOYF550. As you said, the grip screw is simple to address with a couple drops of lock-tite, so I'd hardly consider that a problem. The issues you've seen with the safety and slide release, however, are troubling. My safety is a bit tight, but very usable. I've never had any issue with the slide release either. I'm sorry yours has been such a disappointment.

It's a shame to hear of a Thunder 380 locked away in a safe like that. Any chance you'd be interested in resolving the safety and slide release issues? There is a good forum of Bersa fans over here:

    BersaTalk Forums

I'm sure someone over there could make a recommendation on how to fix it yourself, or even who to send it to at Bersa to have them make it right. It would be a good chance for us all to see how well Bersa customer support actually is.

    Just a thought!
