    M&P 40c Experience, Anyone?

I just got done shooting a rental M&P 40 at my local range. I love that gun! The trigger is WAY better than the Sigma series. It fits great in my hand, and I didn't even get a chance to change out the grips to see if any of them would have done better. Muzzle flip and recoil were surprisingly light for the .40 S&W round.

I'm looking to move up from my current Taurus 9mm (Millenium Pro) compact, so I'm thinking about the M&P 40c. The problem is, I haven't been able to shoot the compact version to see how bad the muzzle flip is. I'll be using it as my CCW piece, so the small frame is important. Does anyone have range time with the M&P 40c? Is it as controllable and easy to shoot as the full size 40?

I'd love to find someplace in the Cincinnati area where I could try out the compact 40. Target World only has the full-size M&P. Does anyone with a compact 40 have any feedback or suggestions?

Good thread with lots of info...

The S&W M&P 40c was extensively discussed here in a recent thread started by DHart:

There were multiple reports that the magazine would fall free during firing - just enough so the gun would not chamber the next round. It seemed limited to the M&P .40 Compact.

mitchpilot, I have the M&P .40c and I really like mine. It has shot everything I have put in it. I don't have a huge amount of rounds through it yet. Probably around 500. It is accurate, as low felt recoil and feel great in my hand.
I carry it in a holster made by K&D Holsters. Here are some pics.
