    I had one of these once upon a time. I had a model 59 too...but it was nickeled.

    Now that brings back memorys , and most of them good lol .

    You guys may like this one. Not a 39, but a 439 made in 1983. I have owned it since 1990. My wife's BIL had bought it from an FBI agent you got it new in '83. He decided to go Glock and my wife bought it for me for Christmas. BTW he now carries a 639 in SS. He and Glocks did not get along.

    S&W Model 39

    Since we're posting pictures of old S&W semiautos, here is my model 39, which I bought new in 1968 or so. I think it cost me $125 or so. It is a pretty good shooter, and has not been carried in a holster so the blueing held up well. The grips are from Kelly Grips.

    My first semi-auto was a 459 around 1981-82? Was a nice gun! Wish I still had it!
