IIRC (it's been a while since I've fired a Glock), the pull might be slightly heavier, but it's very very short in comparison.

Bark'n, my pleasure! That was one of the articles that convinced me to give the XD a try and I have loved it ever since.

Did you ever mount your XD Gear holster in your vehicle? Wasn't that you that was asking me for the pics?

Rossman, don't feel too bad about the wait. Here in Georgia I had to wait almost 4 months, even though the law says 60 days!

As for the XD trigger it is pretty good out of the box, but a trigger job will make a world of difference.

    I got mine done here

And now I don't just like the trigger, I love it.

I have also heard nothing but good things about this guys work as well.

What changes/improvements did your trigger job complete?

What about it makes you like it that much better?

I had the trigger pull weight taken down to 4lbs, plus the Pre-Travel, Over-Travel, and Reset distances were all reduced.

Put all those factors together and it helped increase my accuracy, especially when speed shooting.

Looks like he is charging $125 these days. Plus you have to add in shipping (Fed-Ex overnight because its a gun) there and back.

Not exactly cheap, but well worth it IMO. I would email Scott or give him a call and he can go over how everything works, and his turn around times are also great. I was without my gun for less then a week.

No one in their right mind would buy an XD...

What I meant to say is no one in their right mind would buy just one XD.

Speaking of questions about the XD... I looked at a few at the gun show, and it appears that the extractor is at the top of the chamber, not at the right side. Is that the case?

And does that mean that the spent casings go flying up over the head of the shooter? I haven't seen anything made of this subject, if it's true.

Do you carry that gun, or plan to use it for home defense, in its modified state?

I hope you are buddies with the local prosecutor. Isn't the conventional wisdom that if the guy's anti-gun, he might try hard to skewer you because you used a modified, extra-deadly gun?
