I voted bi-tone, because thats one of my carry guns! you dont have to worry about the finish getting damaged. They did have a rust problem with the black, but I think they may have changed the coating

I'm voting for black just because then it'll match the rest of my carry gear. I have a black Beltman gun belt, black UBG Canute and mag carrier, and Sig mags are black as well. In the end though, it doesn't really matter because if your weapon is concealed, nobody besides you will see it anyway.

I carry a Glock 23....all black. But I wouldn't mind getting the slide hard chromed.....hmmm.

My wife carries an XD .40sc and it is all black. She loves that gun.

The human eye cannot distinguish the color of an object that is completely out of sight, nor of an object which is hidden behind a large muzzle flash! The short span of time between hidden by design and hidden by muzzle flash is too brief for color identification to be reliable.

My XD9 Service is black but my XD45 tactical is OD Green. And daily I carry a stainless Springer GI Gov't 1911. I don't think it really matters

    Yellow with red poka dots?

I don't get all this "dark" earth, OD green, "coyote" tan, well the OD green I get, but...

Since when did crayola start making up names for the color of firearms.

    What's next?

I'm a fan of the two-tone guns, but I voted it doesn't matter.

I think you have to admit that "dark earth" is a better color name for firearms than the obvious alternative, "dirt."

My G19 is OD green. Would'a preferred black but OD's all my dealer had on hand at the time. He offered to order a black one for me but I figured, since Glock's "OD" is really more brown than green, I'd give it a shot. It's really sort'a cool.

Only downside is, now any other Glocks I buy will have to be OD to keep the wife from telling them apart ... sure hope the 29 and 30 come in OD too.

The stainless bi tone does not get holster wear as easily as black. I have XD's in green, black, and bi tone. I like the looks of all of them, but the bi tone does wear a little better.

    I favor black strongly.

I view the color choices that are now available for a lot of guns as a fad, and not a very good one.

They talk about the notion that in England, as gun crime rises, guns are becoming like a "fashion accessory." The idea of multicolored guns, to me, seems to feed that trend.

Tell me, what need was there, apart from ostentation, to make guns have olive-drab green frames? Anyone who tries to claim that they are somehow "better camouflaged" in a combat environment... come on. They nourish vanity. They contribute to people's thinking that the gun they carry somehow ups their "cool factor."

That is not why we carry guns.

I like my bi-tone XD it is easier to clean. Unless you are going to war with a small country it doesn't really matter what color it is. Once it clears leather, the mythical glare just isn't an issue.
OD is great if you have a GI Joe thing, I personally don't want my handguns to resemble anything that was in my kids diaper.
And last but not least the black, I think it is harder to clean, the black gun powder sticks out less with this one.
Buy a decent holster and wear a shirt that cover everything and you are all set.

actually had more bitone lovers than i expected.
since im asking as a 'which is better for concealment' question, i would think most people would say black, maybe some green for the reason i mentioned originally. i agree though. im going for black.
