Im really starting to lean toward the XD9sc for carry
http://www.springfield-armory.com/xd.php?version=59 (you can view the colors at that link, and I was wondering which color you guys think i should get.
options are:
BLACK: hides well in shadows (under jacket, etc)
OD GREEN: if for some reason someone sees the grip sticking out
(most likely as ill probably be carrying IWB. it doesnt yell
GUN quite as bad. or does it?
BITONE: looks nice? shiny? easy to see while trying to conceal? im not a big fan. does it have some advantage?

Color really doesn't matter, except for maybe upkeep. Color doesn't change how the gun functions, but maybe how it is viewed. You pull out a pink-framed gun, and the BG might think you are joking. However, if I had to pick between a pink gun and no gun at all, I'd be willing to get in touch with my feminine side.

It doesn't matter. I tend to prefer ss, because it just seems to hold up well. However, my Glock's finish hold up just fine, thank you. In fact, when I sold my 11 yr. old Glock 21, it looked much better than my 2 yr. old Sig 226 that I had prior to the Glock.
Having said that, my S&W 442's nickel finish doesn't hold up as well as a regular ss gun, IMHO.

It is really a matter of personal taste, but I prefer all black. I think it is less flashy and less prone to being seen. I had a P99 in green, and my all black XD 9SC seems to blend in with my clothes better. Regardless of the color, it is one awesome weapon.

XD is built rather utilitarian, like a Glock. That said I prefer an all black finish. I have a Glock and its all black, just like I wanted it. The colors are cool, if that's your preference. For me w/ carry in mind.. its black, black, black. I have other guns like a Colt combat Commander thats stainless with cocobolo grips, a HK P7 PSP thats all black(the only color available) USUALLY (and I stress the word usually) for carry I choose black, for any other weapon I'm free to choose whatever I feel like getting at the moment, which is usually black or stainless. Bi-tones and colored guns are nice (to me) if you plan on showing them off to people. I rarely/almost never - show someone my carry weapon.
Just get what you want to get man. Its YOUR gun. YOU are paying for it, YOU have to live with it, YOU have to shoot it, YOU will be carrying it, and YOU can show it off as little or as much as you choose to. If someone doesn't like your gun, screw em'. You bought it for you, not them.
Good luck with your hard
decision!

Im partial to all black handguns and wood stocks on rifles.
The color doesn't really matter, its more of a personal preference.

I voted bi-tone just because I think they look nice. Any should do the job though.
