    choice of 3

between a Berreta cheetah in .380, Walther PPK in .380 and Sig 239 in .357sig(or .40S&W) which one would you choose and why? It'd not be my primary carry, it'd be my "need to really make it dissapear" on a hot summer day firearm... as well as a backup for the bad neighbourhood days ;)

At this point the walther is appealing most to me due to its size, and the sig is appealing to me for the .40S&W.

Personally I would go with the larger caliber...the 229

    It's a disparate choice really - two .380 and a .357SIG/.40!!

If you want to save a bit of size and weight then the Walther would be nice but - if the SIG is otherwise OK in that department, that'd be my choice - hands down!

The Cheetah. It looks cool so it should be cool in the summer heat. Oh, was that out loud? (I am currently having Cheetah fever so i might be a bit biased)

I would say the Sig, but if you want better concealibility, why not the 239? It is a single stack and would be better with concealibility while keeping the Sig quality and better caliber. It comes in .40, 9mm, and .357 Sig.

    Huzar,

Have you looked at either one of the baby glocks? or maybe a small Kahr?

Just a few suggestions (you can get them in most of the SD calibers)

Of those choices, no question about it... the 239. Holsters/mags are easy to find, the gun eats anything and far more power in the same size package.

P239 SAS in .40 (you'll love it). Then spend $200 and buy Bersa Thunder .380.

Another vote for the Sig. My 9mm P239 will probably be my primary carry gun although I'm considering picking up a Smith & Wesson M&P Compact as well.

While the SIG 239 fits a 229 holster, it always surprises me how easy it is to conceal. Great gun in nearly all respects. If a single stack of 40SW or 357SIG won't do the job, you took a wrong turn somewhere...

..Then again, today I chose to carry my 229 - a pretty good concealed carry gun too. Just don't expect to get away with a Speedo.
