What 9mm or .380 for under $400 should I buy?

Well, I have the bug again. I have about $400 to spend and would like another 9mm or possibly .380. I was looking at the Bersa Thunder 380 for $275. I've read nothing but good about it. Any other guns you might suggest? I carry a Taurus Pt111 Mil Pro now and would like something about the same size or smaller if possible. thanks. keith

There is a reason for that.

Lets see, keltec would be one idea for that price.

Or, if you wanted to spend the whole $400 and maybe a couple of dollars more, you could look for a CW series Kahr. They can be had for a little over $400.
I will support gun control when you can guarantee all guns are removed from this planet. That includes military and law enforcement. When you can accomplish that, then I will be the last person to lay down my gun. Then I will carry the weapon that replaces the gun.

A used Glock 26 would be close to $400. If you can find one used.

I'll throw in a vote for Bersa Thunder .380 ......... and $275 seems a shade high. I am sure ''street price'' can be well lower. Mine and two others I was involved with the purchase of, were around $219 - admittedly a year or two ago.

Anyhow - IMO a good value choice and that'd leave a loada loose change for ammo (and a spare mag or two)

There are a few good options at $400 for those calibers, but things get a whole lot better at $500.
If you include .38 Spl to your shopping list then you get a LOT more options, have you considered a revolver?
Snubbies are well served by leather makers (more so than the Bersa, Kahr and Taurus cheap guns mentioned above) and are very reliable and easy to conceal.

    Worth a think about...

Good - I think you'll like it. Could be tho you may find as many have, that the safety/decocker is pretty hard to operate.

It is not too difficult to improve so the detent ball moves easier out of the dimple - best I recall. Might be some info on that and other Bersa aspects you could find useful, on Horge's very informative site
