No, I didn't fail the check, but the wife and I decided it just wasn't the right time.
It's in great shape, a little bit of blistering on the cylinder, but I'd call the rest of it better than 90%. Great bore, if a bit dirty. Since I didn't put it on layaway, I figured I'd let you folks know. If anyone is interested, it's $349. PM me if you want the contact info.

By blistering do you mean residue on the front of the cylinder?
Sounds like a great deal on a very concealable 6-shot revolver. I've seen one similar in a Fort Worth gun shop for $490.

It's actually on one of the flutes of the cylinder - maybe 1/8"x1/4", a little tiny bit of rust starting. It would probably come right off with 0000 steel wool and some oil.

Great gun, I love mine. I believe it was made in mid 70's. I paid $500 in excellent condition. Went with the Colt over the newer S&W revolvers (442, etc.).
