I have 2 SS PT92 AFS, my son has a PT92 AFS, and I have a PT92c that so far have been good ones. And the 4" mod. 44 hasn't given any problems. And after holding and looking over the PT 1911 I was convinced that it was a good one. My uncle picked it up and didn't want to put it down.

For you owners. Think the PT will work for IPSC or one of the other like events? I am not to worried about the finish issue. I like holster wear, looks better to me than never fired.

I have been wanting a SA Lightweight Operator for CC but wouldn't mind picking up a full size for competition shooting.

It should work GREAT for competition!

In fact, when the other guys with the $2000 raceguns ask you where you had (pick any one or more from the list below) done....

    frontstrap checkering
checkering on bottom of trigger guard
    lowered ejection port
    throated and polished feed ramp
    full-length guide rod
    Heinie straight-eight sights
    front slide grooves for press-checking
    ambidextrous safety
    trigger job

...you can tell them, "at the Taurus factory, before I even bought it - for less than you paid for your base gun."

That sounds good to me. Maybe I will skip production and go into Open with it. It would still be under $1,000 in the end.

I can be: One of those pizza delivery boys with a busted Honda that is faster than the guy down the street with a Ferrari but I am just not capable of driving properly to win.
