Question How should I spend my bonus?

How should I spend my bonus?

I know by simply making this post I am more then likely jinxing myself. However should things work out as planned I should have a decent chunk of my mid year bonus to spend on a new gun.

My wish list is quite large. And rather than just picking one of them I would like your opinions on what I should get. My first thought was to round out my set of carry guns.

Currently my primary carry is an XD-45tac. I really like this gun, however I have to admit when itís ďagainst policyĒ to have a gun I generally donít carry it. I am confident in my ability to keep it concealed but it does print from time to time. Next is my S&W 638 with CT grips as my primary BUG or primary when I canít carry the XD. After that is the Kel-Tec P3AT which is what I carry when I canít conceal anything bigger.

A while ago I decided I needed something with more power then the J-frame but smaller then the XD. Ideally it would also be small enough to ankle/pocket carry as well. Though I am decently sized guy (6í4Ē, 240lbs) so I do have pretty big pockets.

My first thought was to step up the J-frame to a .357Mag. So I began to look at the S&W M&P 340CT.

    S&W M&P 340CT

But then I realized for about the same amount of money I could pick up a Ruger SP-101 and send it to Gemini Customs and pick up one of these works of art, the Nightstalker.

    Nightstalker

Did I really want to go with a revolver? What where my choices if I went with a sub-compact semi-auto in .357Sig? Well there were only two to pick from that I could find.

The proven platform of a Glock in a G33, which I could get CT grips for as well.

    G33

Or the new S&W M&P .357c due to come out this August (or soÖ)

    S&W M&P .357c

Any opinions would be appreciated just please donít turn this into a debate about the .357Sig

    Thanks!

OK- I have a bias to Glock, cause they work so well for me! I'll bet the S&W will be "Sweet" when it comes on the market- but... will it have those first generation problems? maybe so maybe no.

Of your choices, I would go with the G-33...although I might up it to the G-36...

Glock tried and proven whereas mp is fairly new.I guess it's getting good reviews but from my perspective it's glock hands down and

since this is a carry piece, I believe in "less weight" is better. I gave up a sp101 because of the weight.
I'd go with the scadium s&w....

I voted for a G33, why, cause I have one in layaway at my local gunstore.

When it comes to wheel guns I pretty much refuse to do anything other than Smith (10, 15, 64, 65, and 66 sums up what I find acceptable for myself) but that Nightstalker is pretty dang cool. It has to be somewhere at the top of the list- so it got my vote.

My vote is for the M&P .357c, but I don't think that this gun is available yet. So in that case, I would go for a M&P .40c and get the .357 barrel later when it is available.

Last time I called S&W they told me it would be a "few" months and when pushed for something more I got a "maybe" when I said "around August then?"

And that seems to be the consensus with those I have talked to. Of course it's all speculation until they are actually released.
