Hawkeye, this model is the SA TRP Operator Mdl# PC9105L. As for plans for this pistol, trigger swap with a trigger that does not have such a wide blade. Trigger job and maybe new grips a la aluma grips.

Dang you APachon for posting your pics. I went today to a local gun shop and they just happened to have one. It was awesome- I really didn't need to see it. That thing is a hoss- I bet it HAS to shoot well. I don't want to be rude or anything, but did you get a good deal on it? Davidson's has it for $1309 right now.

NICE Toy ya got there!! The front strap looks cool on a full size 1911. I'm sure the slightly added weight makes the gun more controlable too. Looks like a WINNER to me !! I like those grips on it. What are they? I love hearing about people who get a good deal on what they want most! I'm looking forward to seeing a range report on it AP..Happy shooting !

They are some tactical uber ninja grip spec'd out by FBI HRT or so I have been told by an SA Rep. They are some plastic that has been shot with like 3M adhesive and then blasted with some grip around 80 or so I would say.

Range report to follow real soon.

NH, I paid under 960 for brand new TRP OP. Why, because I got such a good deal on it and I know a friend who is on a team that uses this pistol and wants my take on its performance. That and I love the looks of it. And heck, in my eyes, you can never have enough 1911's. The slide and trigger pull do not compare to my wife's Nighthawk Talon IV (Still waiting on Talon I).

NICE !! Ditto on the congrats for good deal....I just love the looks of a 1911, unless of course it's a chrome-plated, girly-man pearly gripped 1911!
