    New manufacturer

I just found last week at my local shop a new gun manufacturer. They are called Skyy. If you do a search for Skyy firearms you will come across their web site. They seem to have an extremely close resemblance of the Kel-Tec line of pistols, but have stepped up the manufacturing process. The feed ramp looks to be polished, the entire weapon seems to be well made and feels good and sturdy. They have added a thumb safety and greatly decreased the trigger pull weight compared to the Kel-Tec P11. The gun comes with 2 mags, 2 flat mag base plates, and 2 pinky extension mag base plates. The 9mm is the only one I have been able to fondle, and it retails here in Oklahoma for $299 for a SS version. They have a 380, 32, and a single stack 9mm version to be released. I am looking forward to getting one of these and trying it out. May have found a replacement for my P3AT.

Glock? What is this Glock you speak of? Actually I have 18 Glocks. I really do like them, but this is New M&P40C has captured my attention so all the Glocks sit in the safes now.

Welcome to the Forum. No experience with Skyy other than what I've read but I had the chance to handle a couple M&Ps recently and was really impressed.

18 Glocks isn't a case of "like," it pretty much an obsession . I just brought my first one home yesterday, an OD G19. Shoots like a dream an will soon be my new primary carry, needs one more range trip to built familiarity and run some defensive ammo but I can tell it's a winner ............ but seriously, 18? LOL

Thats just the Glocks, I have allot of others too. I was a die hard Glock man for a very long time until just last month. I am currently putting my M&P40c through the ringer trying to get it to malfunction or break, but just as every single glock I own, it eats everything I throw at it without a hickup! The Glocks are by far very reliable.

As much as I liked the M&P, I'm going to hold off and hope they come out with a subcompact 9mm or .357Sig. Besides, I've still got a PPK sitting in layaway waiting to be paid off - my dealer loves me .

The M&P does have a 9mm compact and a 357 sig compact. I own the full size 9mm M&P, compact 9mm M&P, and the 40 compact M&P. I have not seen a 357 sig compact yet, but will defenatly snag one as soon as I do.

The compact 9 is about the same size as my G19. It's nice but I'd be more tempted by something closer to the G26 in either 9mm or .357Sig.
