    Kahr TP45 : For those wondering ...

... about the durability of the polymer frame, I have good news for you . I finally broke down the gun for a good cleaning and inspection.
After about 500 rounds put thru it, and all of it 230 gr. hardball ammo, There was no signs of wear and tear, cracks or strange abbrasions on the polymer or on the steel parts themselves.
For my money's worth, its money well spent....

Good to hear that Art .... I have heard so many mixed reports on Kahr's over time it's hard sometimes to know how good or not they are.

I am glad tho you are happy with yours. I guess that round count makes it fully broke in and ''carry-worthy''.

I wonder if 500 rounds is enough to really tell. I would like to hear from you again after 2k or 3k rounds.

Please keep us posted. I have a TP45 on my list of things to get.

Chris, I know what your saying. I was undecided on the polymer versions too. I probably would have never "took the chance" on a purchase until the shop owner put it in my hand then I was hooked, so I jumped.

    No prob, Big E.
Kahr says 200 rounds and their arms are ccw worthy. I put 500 thru anything I carry. I'll try and give an update every 500 rounds.
My next and probably last .45 is the Glock 21 3rd gen. in drab green color. My layaway will be completed in about 4 more months.

May the piece be with you....

    Recoil?

How's the recoil on the TP45 compared to other 45's you shot?

Liked the size but some of the CS stories from Kahr made me hesitate.

[QUOTE] recoil ? what recoil ? Of any defensive semi-auto pistol I have shot, the .40 S&W round and the .357 sig has the most snap and jump I have experienced.

Thanks for the report. I just got back from a new local dealer that opened up in the area, my first mistake was going, saw the Kahr TP40/45. WOW, what a small gun gun. Smaller than my XD40. I was wondering how the gun handled, shot, and the quality of them were. I liked the feel, and the smalest. Anyone else carry one, shot one for some time now? Thanks....

i've put over 1000 rounds through my CW9 and can't see any signs of wear and tear on mine either. i'm very pleased with the quality of the gun.
