No sir, not at all.Question for ya OD. Would Les Baer lose points if I told you his mag catches were cast?
Say my friend, hows the finger doing?

If I had it to do over again, I would probably get a full size Springfield Mil-Spec. I like my Colt, don't get me wrong, but the front sight has worked loose twice and Colt failed to fix it, plus the Series 80 parts are a pain to re-assemble. A full size isn't too hard to conceal, I have no trouble with my Commander and all a full size adds is 3/4" of barrel and slide.
If you've got a bit more cash to spend, the Dan Wesson Commander Bobtail is a nice-looking piece. Steel 1911's are heavy, but with a good holster and belt they're manageable. Just give yourself a bit of time to get used to it before you give up.

I love my Kimber Ultra CDP that I have put Crinson Trace on. If I was going to buy a second hangun I think I would go for the Kimber Ultra Covert because it is a great looking gun, comes with Crimson Trace already on it.

People really need to stop posting pictures of their Kimbers. I don't need another 1911, I don't ever carry the one I have.

My Kimber Carry Pro II in 9mm can be found new for around $700. Carries well and handles +p and +p+ well.

Yup - probably would not have posted other wise.
OD, that's the plan, it just annoys me that I paid a premium for the Colt over the Springer and this is still a problem. It should have been dovetailed from the factory. For what a Mil-Spec costs I expect to spend a little to customize it. After dropping what I did on the Colt I don't have nearly as much cash to throw around.
