There's definitely no SA capability on this one, though if it's only the hammer itself that's different, I'd like to find the other kind, bob it, and checker the top to gain some SA capability. (It sits fully within the frame, so I'd still have to pull the trigger partway to access the top of the hammer, but it would still be nice to have for occasional target shooting.)

    1966 was the first year for the abbreviated frames. I think the older ones are "right" looking.

    I got it for a very good price for as nice of condition it is. It is also my birth year gun. It is a keeper.

    Here is my Taurus Ultralite Titanium 38 Spl, two tone with ported barrel. This is my primary carry gun. loaded with Speer +p GD SB, 135gr.



    My sister has the same one except hers has the concealed hammer.
