    Nossar chopped 1911

Alex Nossar (www.nossargunleather.com) is in the process of making a holster for my C&S Adventurer. When I contacted him about making it he told me that he liked the idea of a severely chopped 1911 so much that he had made his own. I know that defacing an old army will upset some, but keep in mind that at the time that he did it (a little over ten years ago) there were not a dozed subcompact 1911s to choose from. These pictures were taken recently when he was preparing to refinish it. I think that it looks great and figured that you guys would enjoy seeing it as much as I did.

So, did Alex Nossar do that work himself?
    Wow.

I'm in awe of his work.
Of course, I'm in awe of a LOT of the leather work I see around here.

    Thanks for sharing!

That is a very nice custom 1911 job. Very jealous! Would you happen to have the new dimensions?

Purty! Of course, that's also about the lowest grind I've seen on an HAK. Who was the grinder?

Sorry guys, but I don't have the answers to most of your detail questions. I know that the overall idea for this cut 1911 was taken from an article that Alex read about the C&S Adventurer. I assume that the dimensions are about the same as an adventurer. I believe that Alex made the knife himself. If you think that he is a good gunsmith/knife maker you should see his holsters!

Very nice looking gun. Would love to see the pictures after the finish (you did say this was taken prior to the finish, right?)

One thing that caught my eye were the grip screws. Now those are sharp.
