Well...... I finally did it....... Yep, I did it and it's ALL your fault

Thank you, thank you and thank you some more!

I had posed a question on this forum seeking advice as to whether the Glock 19 or the XD-9 (Service) would generally be a better CCW weapon.

I received lots of advise and oddly enough, some of it was actually useful. Although that one reply about Rosie O'Donnell wearing a thong was rather confusing.

I had originally planned to purchase either the G-19 or the XD-9 this Friday. But as luck would have it, I just couldn't wait.

I went back to the gun store today and looked at both the G-19 & the XD-9. I fondled both, I squeezed both, I turned both upside down and examined them, I asked both out for drinks....oh, sorry, I digress.

Okay, after all this BS, what did I take home?

I selected the Glock 19. It was just a better overall fit for me. The XD-9 looks like a great weapon but the G19 just kind of spoke my language, if you know what I mean.

I'm going to call in sick tomorrow with a "Rangeitus" infection, so I can hang out with that new Austrian babe.

Could one of you please call my boss and pretend you're that doctor from the Simpsons and tell her I'll be out for a few days??

    Regards,

    just me

Yeah - take a whole week off ........ wring that gun out thoroughly!

Fit and feel is all important and if that suits you then chances are you made the better choice.

That's a bad one, I hear it is contagious and can be contracted by reading internet forums..

First- Thats great! I think you've selected the best all round handgun ever made.

I have owned mine about a year and have 2500-3000 rounds through it. about 1000-1100 rounds was in one day at a Threat Focused shooting class. I havent had a single failure to load, fire or eject.

    Enjoy the Glock!

As for your illness- Georgia arms has ammo cans of 9mm. MMmmmmmm.

Glocks are boring, they go bang every time you pull the trigger without fail.
Seriously though, have fun with the new gun, I hope you enjoy it.

Wow, 1000-1100 rounds in one day. I believe you and I salute you!

I will probably "torture" my G19 by shooting at least 200 roundsevery time.

I'll get the Doctor to write a script for those 9mm capsuls. Wonder if that would slip through the insurance company??

Would have been tough to go wrong with either choice.

Hope you enjoy your new pistol!

    just me;

I was the instructor who had kylebce's G19 put through it's paces that day. It's confirmed, he did indeed put that rd count downrange in about 7 hours.

Congrats on your new G19 sir. I'd be surprised if you have any problems ever with that gun through at least the first 30K of ammo

Make sure you get full value out of today , Do something worthwhile, because what you do today will cost you one day off the rest of your life .

So I have to ask, what color is her hair?

    Congrats! G19's are fine weapons.
I will support gun control when you can guarantee all guns are removed from this planet. That includes military and law enforcement. When you can accomplish that, then I will be the last person to lay down my gun. Then I will carry the weapon that replaces the gun.
