I picked up my bp ten pro II 4" about a month ago. I love it . It's lighter than my springfield loaded 5". It has a 13 round mag. The width of the grip is 1/8" narower than my kimber ultra cdp II. It shoots great & I have had no feed problems. It does have a full lenght grip .This might be the only draw back for some but for me I carry with a milt sparks summer special II with a good foward cant so It's not a problem for me. It has become my main carry pistol. Hope this helps.......
The Kimber BP10 and similar 1911s with polymer frame would seem to have two big advantages over the traditional 1911- lighter weight than a metal frame and larger magazine capacity in the same size grip. From a grip space standpoint, a polymer frame with a grip that is just a thin shell of polymer enclosing a double stack magazine will always have a capacity advantage over a traditional metal grip with wood screw on grip panels that add thickness but not ammo capacity.
I believe Wilson Combat has also marketed a similar polymer 1911 gun to the Kimber in a series called "KZ". Of course, you can get the same weight and capacity advantages in other big polymer .45s, such as the Glock 21 and the H&K USP 45f - but they are not 1911s.
I suppose some people who are 1911 purists will scoff at these polymer frame versions, but you will still be shooting when they are reloading, so who cares what they think?
Just talked to my local dealer. Kimbers ten series and 1911 rimfire series have been discontinued
