I used to think that the OD green was ugly, too. Then I went to get my P99. The ONLY one that I could find in NH at the time was in OD. I went down to the shop, and decided that it wasn't THAT bad. It's actually growing on me,
to the point that,
well,
you might actually say, that ,well,
I like it...

I've seen them P95, never tried one though. I sort of like the CZ52 grips like they are. As a matter of fact, my other (unpictured) '52 is in the darker blued finish, I put checkered walnut grips on it, they are slightly fatter than the originals, and I actually find that one slightly less comfortable to hold and shoot. My hands are not all that large, and with the CZ52's grip being uncommonly long front-to-back to accomodate the Tok cartridge, I find the original grips are about the right width to fill my hand.

I actually had my heart set on the XD40 in OD, until I actually put my hand around it. In person, the OD was REALLY green, not muted as I hoped. I ended up with the more traditional black/stainless XD40. More money, but worth it to not have the BG laugh when you pull your piece...

I too like the black traditional, but.... my Beretta 92FS in olive drab really really looks so good with walnut grips (although I have Crimson Trace Laser grips now ) sitting in a desert camo holster or the Galco vertical carry brown shoulder holster !!

A beautiful gun is Blue Steel with wood grips. IMHO all "plastic" guns are ugly, but they work usually every time all the time. I have a few ugly guns one of which is OD. It is no uglier than the other ugly guns. But as I said it works all of the time every time.
