I am partial to the Wolff mags: http://www.gunsprings.com/1ndex.html

The run great in my Kimber, and are very well built.

I've had good luck with Chip McCormick mags for my Springfield. I don't know much about Kimbers, other than their II series seems to have a lot of issues.

    mags

I have been running Wilson Combat 8rd mags in my Custom II, with narry a burp or bobble. While I have heard some longevity issues with the follower and spring, I haven't experienced anything like that yet.

The best magazines I have ever used hands down...

Are Virgil Tripp's Cobramags. They use rocket wire springs that will never wear out, a special follower and they also seat the bullet a couple thousandths of an inch higher than other magazines. This places the round more in line with the bore axis, they virtually eliminate "nose diving" that occurs with a lot of hollowpoint rounds. The link is:http://www.trippresearch.com/products/products.htm, I hope that works. I have been using them in my carry .45s since 1998, and they have never failed me.

    Hope this helps

I have been using Chip McCormick Shooting Stars in my 5" Springer for a while now with no problems.

Haven't tried Wolff- I'm sure they're good, but Wilson and Tripp have been "The Standard" for quite awhile.

Remember guys, the Aegis is 9mm. Wilson, Chip McCormick, Novak, Wolf and Tripp Research don't make 9mm 1911 mags.

friesepferd, your best bet for officers sized 9mm mags is going to me Mecgar. Springfield carries 9mm mags in their online store, but they are full size mags, STI has a compact 9mm called the LS9, those mags might be the same size but don't quote me on that.

I've been happy with Chip McCormick mags. Decent price, exceptional performance.
