Grip chop a Glock?
I am wondering if anyone has any experience with grip chop on a glock?
I had pretty much settled on a G33 for my next perchance (thanks to those who help me decide on my poll), but then someone had posted this site and they offer a grip chop option.
So the idea of getting a G32 and chopping the grip down to G33 size sounds pretty appealing. Longer barrel and sight radius, sub compact grip. However I have a few concerns. I lose a possible method of carry (ankle) and it might even rule out pocket carry, or at least make it more difficult (I generally do have big pockets). Also I am worried that the after market mag spacers won't fit flush with the frame as they will with the G33. The plan was carrying with stock mag or with at +1 extension. But also carry a full size mag with a spacer.
Basically is it worth the hassle, or should I just stick with the G33?
Any input or experience is appreciated.

I would just stick with a G33
You will only be gaining .56" in length. I don't think it is worth the added expense to have it done, not to mention the voiding of the Glock warranty on your frame.
The baby Glocks shoot very well. I don't think the half inch increase in barrel length will yield much in the way of improvement, if any.
As for pocket carry, you are pushing the limits as it is with the baby Glocks. I don't carry my G26 in my pocket, although some people do. If you want pocket carry as an option, you will definitely not want the extra barrel length.

I had a grip chop done to my model 23. It makes the gun as concealable as a 27 if you are going with IWB. However it is still not a pocket gun IMO. Also because of the shorter grip it will require more practice drawing from concealment since you have a shorter grip to grab for.

A Shooting Buddy got his G21 reduced, tuned & buffed by Ross Sporting Goods. NICE work!

I did it to one of my XDs last year. I'm sure it would work just as well on a Glock.
