    Your gun sounds cool, Chuck!

No front serrations, single side safety, two piece magwell, extended mag release, solid match trigger set to my spec, no rear night sights (front only). I'm forgetting something...

I thought about the trigger guard checkering, but then I remembered how my UM chewed my knuckle raw. Course then, it's like a good friend of mine says, "it dont really hurt til the bone shows." ;)

My (first) new LB should be at the gunshop shortly. It's a concept VII. I can't wait to pick it up!

Edited to add crappy pics of a fantastic pistol.

You know, I'm still kicking myself for not getting a solid trigger on my Stinger. Baer night sights just don’t do it for me, so I’ve had both my Baers reworked with larger vials in the front and white outlines all around. The vials showed up well in darkness, but I had trouble seeing the sights in lowlight before the tritium kicked in.

It just goes to show how options are a personal thing. The one feature that I added that I really like is the checkering under the trigger guard. The serrated “stuff” to me is cosmetic, but I really like how the underside of that trigger guard feels. I’ve done a couple pistol classes, and some 4-500 round range sessions and it doesn’t bother me.

    Airedale,

You're going to love your Baer. IMHO, positively the best value in a semi-custom 1911 going. My 5" has close to 17K through it without a hitch. It's still tight and so smooth it's amazing.

I have it and will shoot it this evening. I'm considering a 5" while Pro Load still has the sale going.
I sold my Kimber Custom Tgt II, and my Springer loaded Champ last night. I think I have a few more 1911's to go out the door and then I'll order.

I just sent an E-mail to Pro Load to see what sort of good deals he had on LB's. If I can get a NIB LB for a couple hundred more than a TRP, I'd do it. Seems this is possible. Thanks a bunch for the post!

    What is your commission?

I just spent about 20 minutes speaking to John Koppel from ProLoad.

Super nice man with lots of experience. Fantastic LB prices and a good source for holsters/belts as well.

If you want a Les Baer give the man a call. 208-772-2339

I am undecided if I want a Les Baer or an AR15 right now.
