Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience.

My Usual EDC is a P229 in 357Sig, and a P938 (9mm). Some days it's a P227 (45ACP), or a P226 in 9mm like today. I've got several guns in 40 as well, and have no concerns about wear and tear from the ammo itself.

I'm not saying we should kill all the stupid people. I'm saying remove all the warning labels and let the problem sort itself out.

I never got on the 40S&W band wagon. The 45ACP and 9mm-Luger semiautomatic pistols. My only interpersonal exchange was with the 1911-A1 45ACP in the military. Lesson learned a pistol is a supplement to a rifle as generations before me learned. As this is being written a S&W MP9c.

    357 SIG Speer 125 Gold Dots in a HK P2000 V1 LEM

    or when I can't conceal the P2K a

9mm, 147 Speer Gold Dots in a Walther PPS M1

I find the 357SIG in a compact shoots just about as well as the 9mm in a small single stack and the muzzle blast is an attention getter.......

Depending on the situation, it could be 45 ACP, 38 Super, 9mm or 380 ACP.

I personally carry .40 S&W. In talking with firearms training experts in my area, there is no consensus. Some believe that ammo type is the most important factor. All agree that 9mm/.38 special or higher is suitable as an EDC. Training for combat situation is paramount to effective self defense. Shooting ranges are great for plinking and nomenclature for your firearm but have little value in preparing you for a self defense situation.

.45acp approximately 60% of the time and 9mm for the remainder.
I was taught to respect my elders! The problem is, I'm having a much harder time finding them these days .
