Just got my new Kel-Tec P-11 and I have a couple of questions
Howdy folks, I just bought a new Kel-Tec P-11 which I'd like to carry as a back up gun, since my primary gun is a CZ 97B .45, I mainly wear cowboy boots so my question is, how mamy of you guys carry your BUG in your boot?.
What ammo would you folks recommend me.
Thanks in advance for the suggestions.

Get keltec's belt clip for your P 11. Works great in boots!
God bless!

Thanks for the suggestion Larryes.
pgrass101, I just got my P-11 last night so I haven't been to the range yet, I think I'll be doing that today.
I'll keep you folks posted.

Congrats on the P-11! Kel-Tec has been making quite a stir on here and sparking my interest in a P-11 or PF-9. Hmm... could one be in the mix?

I have the P-11 as an 'extra' weapon, and I don't carry it much. If I take it, it's in a Fist SOB, and it disappears...
It's always goes bang, but it's not a fun shooter, my 'regards' to your trigger finger!

I use Gold Dot 124gr +p in mine. It works fine. I use that gun as my airline travel gun when I'm traveling off duty (yes I check it in my baggage) or as a casual carry very low profile pocket gun. Going to work or traveling by car I use my P2000. I don't know about boot carry. The P11 seems a little large for that.

The P11 is a well built gun but it hurts the web of my hand when I shoot it. Got sold now carry 1911 or Makarov might start with my new CZ75. Enjoy your new gun. By the way boot carry with a clip is the way to go.

Enjoy the P11. I would not boot carry but that is just me. The pocket holster is the way to go or an IWB for me.

Use some lock-tite on the clip screw. I tightened mine down pretty good and it still came loose after a few mags (P3AT)

Love my P-11 with the belt clip clipped under my belt and over the top of my trousers at 3:00 o-clock position. Great summer carry gun. Check out the Kel-Tec web sites like ktog.org. Lots of good tips there.

the P11 trigger is long heavy and a bit rough "out of the box", but a few hundred rounds will clean it up nicely. I really enjoyed my P11, but traded it for a P32 for the wife several years ago. I liked shooting mine, and put about a hundred rounds a week through it. My current PF9 trigger was actually much better out of the box, and now after a few hundred rounds is still long and about 7lbs, it's smooth. My problem is shooting a 2 lb trigger Kimber, or a 3 lb. trigger Ruger 22/45, or any other lighter trigger gun, then picking up one of my Kel-Tecs. Muscle memory can be a killer. I always finish a range session with at least a couple of magazines through a KT since that's what I keep handy for "always" guns.

get the belt clip from kel tec. it works well in boot or in the belt. or get a good ankle holster that can go over your boot. as for ammo, shoot what your gun likes the best. my p-11 likes ball and hydro shock ammo.
