    New pocket gun

As mentioned in the Holster folder, I've bought a new Taurus M85.

    It's the steel frame version:

Seems to work fine in the pocket, but I have a Galco pocket protector holster en route.

I figure I'll try that before I spend big bucks on an expensive one, only to find I don't like pocket carry.

Robb - the M85 was my very first carry - way back - it was a used gun too. I liked (and still like) the extra weight and ... as may have been noticed before when I posted this pic - the old friend has quite a ration of carry/holster wear

Great lil' snub - and mine still performs well.

I use the Galco Pocket Protector, it works great. My work takes me into schools, government offices, police stations etc. and I need to disarm often. The reinforced opening allows for easy reholstering.

I carry a Kel-Tec PF-9 in a Galco Pocket Protector. That's about as much gun as I'd want to pocket carry, and some of my dress slacks have pockets that are too shallow for it, but in most pants, there are no problems.

    Good, inexpensive pocket holster

The Galco Pocket Protector is a good pocket holster that usually costs about $25-$30. Here is a picture from the website:

go to the belt clip site and se if they have a belt clip to fit your gun. i use the belt clip on a model 60 i like it better than a pocket holster. come to think about it i like the belt clip over any holster for my model 60.

Very nice... I've been hearing very good things about Taurus revolvers lately... How does it shoot?

Yeah, the main reason I got it is so that when I go to the gym or yoga can leave the gun in my pocket, in a locked locker, and no one is the wiser. A belt clip or holster exposes the gun when I take my shirt off... and definitely when i take my pants off.

Most yoga-types would react poorly, I suspect, to the presence of a firearm.

Don't know yet. The place I bought it has a range, Rocky Mountain Shooter's Supply for those in the area, but the check took an hour and I didn't have time then to shoot it. I'll probably go back on Wed and put ta few rounds thru it, try to find what ammo I like best in it, etc.

I've shot other small-frame revolvers, J-frames and my 2.75" Speed Six .357, so as long as the weapon is mechanically reliable there shouldn't be a problem.

    I like the Model 85.

I like it so well that I bought one in stainless.

    Exellent gun.
