Doesnt have to be just a 1911 design pistol but any in general but this seems to be more of a worry issue on 1911 than any other...
This thought was brought on by post ya see on 1911 forums about slide locking back prematurely..
SOOO why not trim the slide stop so you dont worry about it .. This is done by at least one builder if requested and i agree with him you need to think long and hard about it before having it done...
No worrys about having slide lock back with 2-3 in the mag causing a tap rack bang type clearance. Shoot it dry slap a new mag and rack and go would it be slower sure some what but if you pratice a lot could probley change mags just as fast.
Now Rember i use my Slide Stop as just that i dont use them as a release i Sling Shoot the slide on all my autos never use the Slide stop to release it.
So for me im grabbing the slide in a racking motion anyways
So what do ya think about this ?
Not sure if i want to modify a stop this way or not.
