    SCORE!

    Picked up a used Mil-Spec Springfield last night for $399. Happy birthday to me (it really is today ). Going to the range after work to try it out. The previous owner took great care of it. I have the box and instructions. The only thing is he put Colt grips on it! No ponies allowed on my Springer!

    When I get nice wood grips it should look more like this:

    UPDATE - Range report.

    I shot like crap yesterday, at first. I thought "maybe I got a lemon". After I warmed up all was fine. It fed hollow points fine and was accurate. I'm very pleased.

    The grips are ordered and the Rafter S holster is too!
